Register now for our Men's DRAFT Basketball League!
HOW IT WORKS: Everyone that registers will participate in a pick-up basketball game where you will be "scouted" by the designated team captains. Once the scouting session concludes, the captains will hold a LIVE Draft.
We have found that the draft format creates a strong level of parity in the league, so most of the games are extremely competitive, and any team can beat any team on any given day. In addition, it provides everyone an opportunity to compete against players at their similar level, because each team will have players drafted in each round.
The season concludes with a 3pt Contest and All-Star Game!
All games are recorded and sent out weekly, along with the top plays, top assists and player of the week highlights.
We have also added an additional fee that includes all games to be recorded and posted on Youtube!
EMAIL NOTIFICATION:
We would NEVER give out your email information. We are able to offer our leagues at the low costs that we do thanks to the support we receive from our sponsors, who pay us for the opportunity to promote their products, services and brands to our participants. Without our sponsors, we would be unable to offer the leagues anywhere near the prices we do.
Hopefully the handful of emails we send that aren't pertinent to CPD leagues specifically aren't too much of a bother.
Thank you again for your participation.

All standard Euchre rules apply.
CLICK HERE for a video explaining the game
Here is a quick overview:
In euchre, naming trump is sometimes referred to as making, calling, or declaring trump. When naming a suit, a player asserts that his or her partnership intends to win the majority of tricks in the hand. A single point is scored when the bid succeeds, and two points are scored if the team that declared trump takes all five tricks. A failure of the calling partnership to win three tricks is referred to as being euchred or "bumped" and is penalized by giving the opposing partnership two points.
A caller with exceptionally good cards can go alone, or take a loner hand, in which case he or she seeks to win all five tricks without a partner. The partner of a caller in a loner hand does not play, and if all five tricks are won by the caller the winning team scores 4 points. If only three or four of the tricks are taken while going alone, then only one point is scored. If euchred while playing alone, the opposing team still only receives 2 points.
The primary rule to remember when playing euchre is that one is never required to play the trump suit (unless that is the one that is led), but one is required to follow suit if possible to do so: if diamonds are led, a player with diamonds is required to play a diamond.

Register now for our Old Man Basketball League, an alternative to our Men's DRAFT Basketball League, meant for the older and/or slower guys. We recommend you be either 35+ years old, or play like you are 35+ years old!
League fees now include all games being recorded and streamed on Youtube!
EMAIL Disclaimer:
We would NEVER give out your email information. We are able to offer our leagues at the low costs that we do thanks to the support we receive from our sponsors, who pay us for the opportunity to promote their products, services and brands to our participants. Without our sponsors, we would be unable to offer the leagues anywhere near the prices we do.
Hopefully the handful of emails we send that aren't pertinent to CPD leagues specifically aren't too much of a bother.
Thank you again for your participation.

Join us for our Euchre League! All games will be played at Detroit Shipping Company! We will have food and drink specials for all participants.
